I really liked this cathedral. It’s right next to Piazza Walther. But honestly, chiesa dei Domenicani impressed me more. Both churches are free, check them out.

Exterior renovated after the Second World War. Its colourful tile roof is reminiscent of Vienna Cathedral. Inside we find the peace to be able to meditate in peace, just sitting or kneeling with back.... more

Parish of the Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta The ancient parish church of Bolzano, dedicated to the Assumption, became a bishopric only in 1964, with the constitution of the diocese of Bolzano-Bressanone. Previously, the Deanery of Bolzano belonged to the Diocese of Trento. Under the current church, traces of an early Christian religious building (V-VI century) and therefore of a smaller early medieval church (VIII-IX century) have been found.

A very beautiful church or duomo in a very central part of Bolzano with good access roads. In addition to all this, this place is very quiet and you can walk peacefully. In winter it is advisable to come with very good equipment so as not to face the weather, which is very strong. The architecture of this is very beautiful.
