This was ok but was very focused on their Egyptian collection rather than archeology from Bologna. A very quick visit as not very big Museum.

The museum is part of the Bologna Welcome Card which costs €25. This allows you entry for free. The museum is open Friday, Saturday and Sunday 10am–7pm, Monday and Wednesday 9am–2pm, Thursday 3–7pm, Tuesday Closed. Currently some floors of the museum are closed. It is still worth a visit and even more if you have the Bologna Welcome Card. You get to see the Egyptian section. It is amazing to see a number of artifacts intact and in good condition. You get to see the detail and colour of each artifact which after this many years if very clear and bright.

Vary large archeologic museum in the center of Bologna. The exhibitions are very rich, the Etruscan collection fantastic to learn more about this people. Separately, we paid and visited the Pompeii painters exhibition.
