Museo Cassioli, Asciano

Very interesting museum located in the historic center of the small village of Asciano, the center of the Crete Senesi, a worldly Tuscan landscape in Tuscany. The museum is on two floors, located in a historic building of fine workmanship. The architecture and the museum concept are very current, enjoyable. The exhibited works are a historical collection donated to the municipality with works from the nineteenth and twentieth centuries of the Sienese area. Some really very valuable pieces, which show how the Sienese environment was receptive to the innovations introduced by the greatest artists of the period, not only Tuscan. A good stop to visit in combination with the Palazzo Corboli Museum of Art, whose cumulative ticket for 7 euros includes both structures. Absolutely to see!

Very nice and educational museum It depicts the country house of a noble family with very beautiful wall paintings and exhibits from the 17th and 16th centuries.
