Duomo di Sant'Andrea
Remodeled many times since the ninth century, Duomo di Sant'Andrea is home to the Crypt of St. Andrew. Two crosses--one a 13th-century wooden crucifix, the other mother of pearl brought from the Holy Land--represent two different periods in the cathedral's history. The bronze doors of the church were cast in the city of Constantinople before 1066, making them the city's earliest architectural feature of post-Roman manufacture. Visit the gardens, where arches, colonnades, and sculptures blend in with the colorful landscaping. A beautiful church to see in the town of Almafi and you don't have to spend lots of time. It is heavily decorated and it has a great view from the top of the stairs.

Impressive cathedral for the the time it was built. The stairs leading to it gives a very imposing view with the bell tower on the left. Climbing the stairs is like a going thru time travel to many centuries back in history. The court yard is lovely with the arches and the garden in the center. The crypt below is so ornate your eyes will have to work overtime. Next you will enter the cathedral which is also very impressively decorated. Three euros is well worth spent.

The Town of Amalfi, has a special significance to me due to it being a special gift trip to me by a lovely person and I must say the town is absolutely beautiful, small but stunning and I enjoyed it alot. The church is absolutely beautiful and you can feel the rich history of the church especially if you go to the old part of it.
