The black lake, a lake of glacial origin, can be easily reached from the Val di Luce / Monte Gomito area or from Alpe Tre Potenze, otherwise also from Val Sestaione. There is also a well-equipped bivouac. Numerous alpine newts can be observed in the lake.

Visited both in summer and in winter, two opposite worlds in terms of landscape so it deserves a double visit and the effort to get there .. the small refuge with sweet coffee and grappa is excellent!
