Arguably the most popular of the 400 churches on the island of Mykonos, features five whitewashed chapels built on top of one another. One of the Aegean's architectural highlights, the church stands out in dazzling white and provides a favorite photographic backdrop for the island's many visitors. Built in stages between the 14th and 17th centuries, the multi-layered structure's main feature is its domed church of the Virgin Mary on the top, which can be reached by an external staircase made of stone. At dusk the soft light of the setting sun creates good conditions for dramatic snapshots. An amazing place to chill and relax with the beautiful view. The place is less crowded during the afternoon but during sunsets and evenings its very crowded unlike the other town little Venice. Make sure u use the longer way of the old port road and avoid the aisles to get to this place. Recommend to visit here during sunsets. Couldn't make it up for one due to other commitments but would definitely plan for one in the near future.

Beautiful spot in the castle section of the town between the old port and little Venice. Nice spot to sit and relax went at least 7 times always closed and no info posted
