This was the first place we came to on our self guided walking tour of Dresden and it made for such an opener... Even with the groundworks going on, it impressed enormously.

Large castle with a lot of rooms. Prepare to spend 3 - 5 hours easily to see all parts of it. Also one thing to note you can’t enter with large bags (my small backpack got rejected by security) get your valuables with you or leave it at hotel

Wonderful place, architectural paradise. Something definitely worth seeing if you happen to be around. Sadly was partly under construction/renovation at August 2021.
