Chartreuse, Voiron

Had a tour in English. Bénédict was my guide, and she was phenomenal. Her English was excellent as well as her knowledge of the history of the Carthusian Monks and Liqueur Chartreuse. Ask for her if you can, whether you take the tour in French or English! From her experience working their several years and in different roles, she had great stories about selecting pieces and putting together displays for the museum. She loved answering questions and discussing back and forth. Such a highlight. Please pass along my highest praise and recommendation to her! There’s reasonably priced items in the gift shop as well as at the new bar, which looks beautiful. 13€ for a cocktail and a taste of the VEP Yellow Chartreuse was an incredible deal! They even let me drop off my luggage behind the desk as I had just arrived into town. Must do experience for fans of the drink and cocktail geeks & bartenders. Merci beaucoup & cheers!

Cool experience learning about the history of Chartreuse, complete with a tasting of both green and yellow Chartreuse. No photos allowed inside the actual museum. Our tour guide was great!
