Castle of Sedan is a grand medieval fortress covering an area of 35,000 sq m (114830 sq ft) on seven floors. Discover the bastions, ramparts, walkways, and the many techniques and tricks that made the castle an impregnable fortress in the past. The circuit is lined with various scenes of daily life of the princes, soldiers, and households in the area. Tour guides are available all summer, and paper guides in English are available all year. The fortress contains the office of tourism for Sedan, as well as a three-star hotel. There is also a museum inside the castle with a room dedicated to the war of 1870 including a rich collection of Prussian helmets. Nice castle. Great information along the way and some nice exhibits depicting life at the castle during medieval times. Friendly staff, nice shop and clean toilets with a diaper changing station. Overall a great place to visit and easily spend an hour.

We love this place!!! 🏰 Make sure you spare enough time in Sedan just for the visit of this extraordinary place! We were amazed by its size, extraordinary architecture of the fortified castle and the breathtaking view from its terrace. What to expect 📷: A spectacular tournament (2-3 times a day, 45 minutes ), an impressive medieval camp with an artillery, a boutique with perfect gifts for everyone! Definitely recommend to every castle lovers!!!😘
