Filled with colorful whimsy, Jardin des Papillons houses exotic butterflies living freely among lush gardens. More than 200 species of butterflies from the Alsatian Wine Route, as well as others from Africa, Asia, and the Americas, live in greenhouse gardens designed to imitate the butterflies' home climates. Many rare plants from around the globe bloom here from May to October, and shelter tropical frogs, stick insects, and chameleons. Your visit supports this project, and creates a deeper understanding of the lives of butterflies. Educational programs led by volunteers and the small staff help you appreciate the need to conserve the habitats of endangered species. A small, compact but beautiful and charming garden with butterflies. Views and smells. There is also a bar and a souvenir shop. Very interesting place.

Small butterfly garden with a quite a good collection of different species. I have been to bigger gardens with way less different species. I walked around several times to spot different butterflies. And the ant path was quite fun and interesting to see. Do think that €7 per adult would be a better price instead of the €9.
