We have been to this place many times and it's a perfect place for those who loves a brisk walk. You will get a scenic view of Epinal once you reach at the top.

A great family outing in a a beautiful city. You should start your day downtown, take pictures, have a coffee, lunch, and so shopping then go back to your car and have the rest of the day at the castle. There are many parking lots and one convenient one for handicapped. At the castle, you will find a lot of picnic spots. There are many fun areas to explore : the ruins of the castle, the huge open parc with the animals and playground. There is a carousel and snack stand but not open yet because of Covid. There are very cute buildings and if you look around, there are the names of a lot of trees so it is also a great place to teach botany to little ones. The Chateau d’Epinal is a must see if you come to that city.
