Aiguille du Midi, translated as “Needle of the Noon,” pokes the sky with the point of its peak. The sun passes over the summit at exactly noon, justifying its name to the guests sipping coffee at the summit’s cafe. Visit the viewing platform for a spectacular photo op that will save you money on a picture postcard. Aiguille du Midi reaches 3,842 m (12,605 ft) and hundreds of thousands of visitors stand in awe of its majestic beauty each year. • What a spectacular morning we had riding up two different cable cars to the very impressive top lookout areas. It was cold and windy but entirely thrilling to walk over the bridge above a crevasse...

  • Breath taking view of the Mount Blanc. Very beautiful. Unfortunately it was closed so we couldn't take the telepherique to go Aiguille de midi.
  • Absolutely worth the ticket price to get up high and see the Chamonix valley and the unique Alpine vistas. It will be cold at any time of year (even mid summer) so wrap up warm and enjoy. Climbers with the appropriate gear can step out onto the ridges and explore.
