Create an itinerary including Kalahari Desert
Explore the vast savannah of Kalahari Desert, which covers 930,000 sq km (360,000 sq mi) across Botswana. As you explore the desert, you'll see an array of native wildlife, such as lions, giraffes, and meerkats. Notice the distinctive vegetation caused by the unusual climate throughout the year, especially the endemic kiwano fruit. The strange climate causes summers to get extremely hot, while in winter the temperature plummets. Take note of these extreme conditions before planning your trip. • Amazing place with amazing wildlife. The Meerkats were a real highlight but just a great experience was had in temperatures above 40.
