  • Lovely place to visit. Good parking (although very tight and full quite quickly) and great facilities, although you do have The Mermaid (Vintage Inn) nearby if you fancied a drink/food elsewhere, which is reasonably priced and also old fashioned decor. But the manor itself is spectacular, and great you can get so close to experiencing history in its real form. Great touch, too, that there was a lady beautifully playing the piano while we were there. Helpful historians also in standby to fill in the gaps or answer your questions. Gardens are spectacular. Great day out. Only slight issue, however, was a staff member stating he’d prefer not to do a particular room because he ‘couldn’t be bothered answering questions’ - very unprofessional.
  • Google maps takes you to the back entrance which is no longer used!! Otherwise a brilliant place to visit especially if you like the Arts and Crafts era it's awesome. Lovely cafe, shop and gallery. The volunteers in each room are very welcoming and knowledgeable.
