  • Stunning scenery surrounds this stone circle. Built by prehistory farming communities 4500 years ago, this site was the inspiration to the Romantic poets. This World Heritage Site owned by English Heritage is free to visit with some parking nearby.
  • Nice free site to visit and get a little history. The large stones sitting in the field make you wonder about the past residents who gathered here. It is clear that they chose a place of beauty as evidenced by the surrounding mountains. Highly recommend you don’t drive on Castle Ln but park along the main roads on either side. It’s a one lane road and can get blocked by oncoming traffic.
