City of Magic

A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
Get a sense of the local culture at Santuario Basilica di Montis Regalis and Chiesa di Santa Maria del Monte dei Cappuccini. Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Via Roma and Marchesi di Barolo - Sede legale, magazzini e spedizioni. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Turin: Castello e Parco di Masino (in Caravino), Salumificio Maison Bertolin (in Arnad) and Il Negozietto (in Chatillon). There's lots more to do: step into the grandiose world of Castello della Manta, take a stroll through Quadrilatero Romano, do a tasting at Cantina del Glicine, and take in the architecture and atmosphere at Basilica di Maria Ausiliatrice.

If you are flying in from United States, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. September in Turin sees daily highs of 69°F and lows of 58°F at night. Cap off your sightseeing on the 6th (Sat) early enough to travel back home.
