Virtually unchanged for the last six centuries, Venice is actually a group of islands made famous by a series of canals, bridges, monuments, piazzas, and narrow pedestrian lanes.
On the 20th (Thu), wander the streets of Dorsoduro, admire the masterpieces at Peggy Guggenheim Collection, then take in the exciting artwork at Atelier d'Arte La Colonna, and finally contemplate the waterfront views at Canal Grande. On the 21st (Fri), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: look for all kinds of wild species at Riserva Naturale Ca' Roman, pause for some serene contemplation at Basilica di Santa Maria della Salute, and then admire the masterpieces at Gallerie dell'Accademia.

Get outdoors at Parco Naturale Regionale del Delta del Po and Casa delle Farfalle e Bosco delle Fate di Butterfly Arc. Villa Molin and Abbazia di S.Maria di Praglia will appeal to museum buffs. Venture out of the city with trips to Arqua Petrarca (Casa del Petrarca & EVO del Borgo - Frantoio di Arqua Petrarca), Parco Faunistico Valcorba (in Pozzonovo) and Garden of Villa Barbarigo in Valsanzibio (in Valsanzibio). Padua is very close to Venice. In June, daytime highs in Padua are 30°C, while nighttime lows are 23°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 24th (Mon) early enough to catch the train to Verona.

Start off your visit on the 25th (Tue): look for gifts at Ciokolart, then step into the grandiose world of Palazzo Ducale Mantova, then explore the world behind art at Palazzo Te, and finally explore the ancient world of Parco delle Mura e dei Forti. Keep things going the next day: look for all kinds of wild species at Oasi naturale faunistica le risorgive, get to know the fascinating history of Borghetto sul Mincio, and then do a tasting at La Pria Societa Agricola.
