A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.

Orta San Giulio

Orta San Giulio is a town and comune (municipality) in the Province of Novara in the Italian region of Piedmont, located about 100km northeast of Turin and about 40km northwest of Novara.The town itself is built on a promontory which juts out from the eastern bank of Lake Orta close to Isola San Giulio, an island which also falls within the municipal boundaries. Kick off your visit on the 13th (Sat): get engrossed in the history at House of The Resistance and then get engrossed in the history at Museo Castiglioni. On the 14th (Sun), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: contemplate the long history of Villa Bossi and then explore the activities along Lake Orta.
