City of Magic

A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
For shopping fun, head to Via Roma or Salumificio Maison Bertolin. Discover out-of-the-way places like Parco Nazionale Gran Paradiso and Cascate del Rutor. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Turin: The Roman Aqueduct-Bridge of Pont d'Ael (in Aymavilles), Rifugio Vittorio Sella (in Cogne) and Colle del Nivolet (in Ceresole Reale). There's lots more to do: take a stroll through Quadrilatero Romano, take a memorable drive along Colline di Torino, take in the spiritual surroundings of Duomo di Torino e Cappella della Sacra Sindone, and see the interesting displays at Museo Nazionale dell'Automobile.

If you are flying in from United States, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. In July in Turin, expect temperatures between 78°F during the day and 65°F at night. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 13th (Sat) early enough to travel back home.
