City of Magic

A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
For shopping fun, head to Via Roma or Mercato Di Piazza di Madama Cristina. Discover out-of-the-way places like Parco Nazionale Gran Paradiso and Basilica di Maria Ausiliatrice. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Turin: Rifugio Vittorio Sella (in Cogne), The Roman Aqueduct-Bridge of Pont d'Ael APERTO SINO AL 1 NOVEMBRE (in Aymavilles) and Colle del Nivolet (in Ceresole Reale). There's lots more to do: let the river carry you with a rafting and tubing tour, wander the streets of Quadrilatero Romano, take in the spiritual surroundings of Duomo di Torino e Cappella della Sacra Sindone, and see the interesting displays at Museo Nazionale dell'Automobile.

If you are flying in from United States, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. In July in Turin, expect temperatures between 78°F during the day and 65°F at night. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 13th (Sat) early enough to travel back home.
