City of Magic

A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
Popular historic sites such as Castello di Grinzane Cavour and Castello di Issogne are in your itinerary. Get some cultural insight at Santuario della Consolata and Castello di Serralunga d'Alba. Venture out of the city with trips to Lillaz Waterfalls (in Cogne), Castello di Verres (in Verres) and Castello di Fenis (in Fenis). Next up on the itinerary: pause for some serene contemplation at Santuario di Oropa, relax and float downstream with a rafting and tubing tour, take in the spiritual surroundings of Sacra di San Michele, and explore the ancient world of Teatro Romano.

If you are flying in from Australia, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. June in Turin sees daily highs of 26°C and lows of 18°C at night. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 11th (Sun) early enough to travel back home.
