City of Magic

A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
Museum-lovers will appreciate Museo Egizio and Museo Nazionale del Cinema. Get a sense of the local culture at Museo Nazionale dell'Automobile and Museum of the Risorgimento. Venture out of the city with trips to Reggia di Venaria Reale (in Venaria Reale), Sacra di San Michele (in Sant'Ambrogio di Torino) and Serravalle Designer Outlet (in Serravalle Scrivia). There's lots more to do: see the interesting displays at Civic Museum of Ancient Art (Palazzo Madama), contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Duomo di Torino e Cappella della Sacra Sindone, don't miss a visit to Piazza Castello, and see where the action happens at Juventus Stadium.

To see maps, other places to visit, where to stay, and tourist information, use the Turin trip itinerary maker site.

If you are flying in from United States, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. May in Turin sees daily highs of 64°F and lows of 51°F at night. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 29th (Mon) so you can travel back home.
