Turin
A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
You'll explore and learn at Pinacoteca Giovanni e Marella Agnelli and Museo Pietro Micca. Castello Reale di Sarre and Collegiata dei Santi Pietro e Orso will appeal to history buffs. Venture out of the city with trips to Santuario Basilica di Montis Regalis (in Vicoforte), Castel Savoia (in Gressoney Saint Jean) and Castello di Grinzane Cavour (in Grinzane Cavour). And it doesn't end there: see the winter wonderland with Yes Snowboard & Ski School, explore the historical opulence of Castello di Verres, get engrossed in the history at Armeria Reale, and fly down the slopes at Via Lattea.

To see other places to visit, photos, ratings, and more tourist information, read Turin tour itinerary planning site.

If you are flying in from United Kingdom, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. In January, plan for daily highs up to 6°C, and evening lows to 1°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 20th (Sat) so you can travel back home.
