Asti is a city and comune of 76 164 inhabitants (1-1-2017) located in the Piedmont region of northwestern Italy, about 55km east of Turin in the plain of the Tanaro River. You've now added Cantina Francesco Borgogno to your itinerary. Start off your visit on the 13th (Mon): do a tasting at Cantina Francesco Borgogno, examine the collection at WiMu - Museo del Vino a Barolo, then explore the historical opulence of Castello di Grinzane Cavour, then pause for some serene contemplation at Cattedrale di San Lorenzo, and finally contemplate the long history of La Bollente. Stresa is a town and comune of about 5,000 residents on the shores of Lake Maggiore in the province of Verbano-Cusio-Ossola in the Piedmont region of northern Italy, about 90km northwest of Milan.
