City of Magic

A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
Discover out-of-the-way places like Castel Savoia and Castello di Issogne. Deepen your sense of the past at sights like Santuario di Oropa and Collegiata dei Santi Pietro e Orso. Get out of town with these interesting Turin side-trips: Castello di Serralunga d'Alba (in Serralunga d'Alba), Aosta (Criptoportico Forense & Parco Nazionale Gran Paradiso) and Castello di Grinzane Cavour (in Grinzane Cavour). There's lots more to do: let the river carry you with a rafting and tubing tour, take in the architecture and atmosphere at Santuario Basilica di Montis Regalis, steep yourself in history at Ricetto di Candelo, and explore the historical opulence of Castello di Verres.

If you are flying in from Denmark, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. In July, daily temperatures in Turin can reach 30°C, while at night they dip to 21°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 12th (Wed) early enough to travel back home.
