City of Magic

A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
Museum-lovers will appreciate Museo Pietro Micca e dell'assedio di Torino del 1706 and Armeria Reale. Get a sense of the local culture at Castello di Grinzane Cavour and Ricetto di Candelo. Venture out of the city with trips to Castel Savoia (in Gressoney Saint Jean), Monterosa Ski (in Gressoney-la-Trinite) and Santuario Basilica di Montis Regalis (in Vicoforte). And it doesn't end there: take in the architecture and atmosphere at Santuario di Oropa, step into the grandiose world of Castello della Manta, take in the spiritual surroundings of Basilica di Sant'Andrea, and contemplate the long history of Sacro Monte di Orta.

If you are flying in from United States, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. In May, plan for daily highs up to 64°F, and evening lows to 51°F. Finish your sightseeing early on the 19th (Sat) so you can travel back home.
