A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
Get out of town with these interesting Turin side-trips: Orta San Giulio (Piazza Motta & Lake Orta), River Rafting & Tubing (in Morgex) and Le Ville di Ravello (in Ravello). There's much more to do: get engrossed in the history at Museo Egizio, test your problem-solving skills at popular escape rooms, contemplate the long history of Duomo di Torino e Cappella della Sacra Sindone, and take in nature's colorful creations at Parco del Valentino.

To see where to stay, other places to visit, reviews, and tourist information, read Turin day trip website.

If you are flying in from India, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. In July, plan for daily highs up to 30°C, and evening lows to 21°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 5th (Mon) early enough to travel back home.
