A beautiful and romantic city fit for any itinerary, Paris brims with historic associations and remains vastly influential in the realms of culture, art, fashion, food and design.
Appreciate the collections at Louvre Museum and Musee de l'Orangerie. Do some cultural sightseeing at Eiffel Tower and Musee d'Orsay. When in Paris, make a side trip to see Palace of Versailles in Versailles, approximately Versailles away. There's still lots to do: pause for some serene contemplation at Basilique du Sacre-Coeur de Montmartre, get a taste of the local shopping with Saint Germain des Pres Quarter, contemplate the long history of Sainte-Chapelle, and wander the streets of Montmartre.

Rouen is situated on the River Seine, about 90 minutes from Paris.
Museum-lovers will appreciate Fondation Claude Monet and Ecole Supérieure d'Art et Design Le Havre-Rouen. Do your shopping at Rue du Gros-Horloge and Faiences Saint-romain. There's still lots to do: admire the striking features of Cathedrale Notre-Dame de Rouen, explore the different monuments and memorials at Cimetiere Saint-Sever, appreciate the extensive heritage of Cote Sainte-Catherine, and contemplate the long history of Gros-Horloge.

Caen is known for its historical buildings built during the reign of William the Conqueror, who was buried there, and for the Battle for Caen--heavy fighting that took place in and around Caen during the Battle of Normandy in 1944, destroying much of the city.
Head to Frac Basse Normandie and Ess9ncefor some retail therapy. Deepen your sense of the past at sights like Normandy American Cemetery and Omaha Beach. Get out of town with these interesting Caen side-trips: Cathedrale Notre-Dame (in Bayeux), Pointe du Hoc (in Cricqueville-en-Bessin) and Arromanches 360 Circular Cinema (in Arromanches-les-Bains).
