City of Magic

A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
Do some cultural sightseeing at Museo Egizio and Galleria Sabauda. Head to Reggia di Venaria Reale and Latteria Berafor some retail therapy. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Turin: Asti Lido 2000 Piscine (in Asti), Forte di Bard (in Bard) and Orta San Giulio (Piazza Motta, Lake Orta, &more). There's much more to do: examine the collection at Museo Nazionale del Cinema, admire the landmark architecture of Palazzo Reale, make a trip to Piazza San Carlo, and get great views at Basilica of Superga.

To see reviews, traveler tips, where to stay, and more tourist information, use the Turin online route maker.

If you are flying in from United States, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. In September, daytime highs in Turin are 69°F, while nighttime lows are 58°F. Finish your sightseeing early on the 24th (Tue) so you can travel back home.
