City of Magic

A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
Do your shopping at Galleria Sabauda and Fondazione 107. Duomo di Torino e Cappella della Sacra Sindone and Palazzina di Caccia di Stupinigi will appeal to history buffs. Get out of town with these interesting Turin side-trips: Tre Secoli sca - Viticoltori in Piemonte dal 1887 (in Mombaruzzo), Cantina Fontechiara (in Borgomanero) and Reggia di Venaria Reale (in Venaria Reale). The adventure continues: examine the collection at Museo Nazionale del Cinema, admire the landmark architecture of Palazzo Reale, steep yourself in history at Sacra di San Michele, and learn about winemaking at Azienda Agricola Bajaj.

If you are flying in from United Kingdom, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. In May, daytime highs in Turin are 20°C, while nighttime lows are 12°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 20th (Mon) so you can travel back home.
