City of Magic

A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
Museum-lovers will appreciate Museo Egizio and Museo Nazionale del Cinema. Escape the urban bustle at Parco Naturale del Monte San Giorgio and River Rafting & Tubing. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Turin: Reggia di Venaria Reale (in Venaria Reale), Lillaz Waterfalls (in Cogne) and Lake Orta (in Orta San Giulio). There's still lots to do: see the interesting displays at Museo Nazionale dell'Automobile, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Sacra di San Michele, take in the views from Ponte Vecchio, and admire the landmark architecture of Palazzo Reale.

If you are flying in from United States, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. Expect a daytime high around 73°F in June, and nighttime lows around 60°F. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 13th (Wed) so you can travel back home.
