A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
Get out of town with these interesting Turin side-trips: Parco Naturale del Monte San Giorgio (in Piossasco), La Venaria Reale (in Venaria Reale) and Sacra di San Michele (in Sant'Ambrogio di Torino). There's much more to do: take in the spiritual surroundings of Basilica di Superga, examine the collection at Museo Nazionale dell'Automobile, make a trip to Piazza San Carlo, and take in nature's colorful creations at Parco del Valentino.

If you are flying in from United States, the closest major airports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Cuneo International Airport. April in Turin sees daily highs of 66°F and lows of 50°F at night. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 5th (Fri) early enough to travel back home.
