A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
Step out of Turin with an excursion to Reggia di Venaria Reale in Venaria Reale--about 32 minutes away. There's much more to do: make a trip to Basilica of Superga, admire all the interesting features of Juventus Stadium, see the interesting displays at Museo Nazionale del Cinema, and explore the world behind art at Egyptian Museum of Turin.

Valletta, Malta to Turin is an approximately 5.5-hour flight. You can also do a combination of flight and train; or do a combination of ferry, bus, and flight. In May, Turin is little chillier than Valletta - with highs of 20°C and lows of 12°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 28th (Tue) so you can drive to Aosta.

In the Aosta Valley bordering Switzerland and France, the medieval city of Aosta is famous for its prime skiing conditions and rich cultural history.
Kick off your visit on the 29th (Wed): delve into the distant past at Criptoportico Forense, get interesting insight from Tours, then see the interesting displays at Forte di Bard, and finally explore the historical opulence of Castello di Fenis.
