City of Magic

A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
Discover out-of-the-way places like Castel Savoia and Castello di Verres. Explore Turin's surroundings by going to Castello di Issogne (in Issogne), Castello Reale di Sarre (in Sarre) and Castello di Grinzane Cavour (in Grinzane Cavour). There's still lots to do: step into the grandiose world of Castello Sarriod de La Tour, delve into the distant past at Criptoportico Forense, admire the verdant scenery at Val Ferret, and contemplate the long history of Basilica of Superga.

If you are flying in from Australia, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. In August, daytime highs in Turin are 28°C, while nighttime lows are 20°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 10th (Thu) early enough to travel back home.
