City of Magic
A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.Step off the beaten path and head to Via Roma and River Rafting & Tubing. Give yourself a bit of retail therapy at Salumificio Maison Bertolin and Il Negozietto. Explore the numerous day-trip ideas around Turin: Casa del Miele (in Breuil-Cervinia), Castello Reale di Sarre (in Sarre) and Castello di Issogne (in Issogne). There's much more to do: explore the historical opulence of Castello di Verres, do a tasting at Azienda Agricola Fratelli Aimasso, take in the architecture and atmosphere at Santuario Basilica di Montis Regalis, and get some fabulous bargains at Mondovicino Outlet Village.
