A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
Appreciate the collections at Museo Forte Bramafam and Museo del Carcere Le Nuove. Take a break from the city and head to Cascate del Rutor and Parco Nazionale Gran Paradiso. Venture out of the city with trips to Castello Sarriod de La Tour (in St. Pierre), River Rafting & Tubing (in La Salle) and Castello Reale di Sarre (in Sarre). There's still lots to do: explore the activities along Lago d'Arpy, appreciate the history behind Fenestrelle Fortress, explore the historical opulence of Verres Castle, and explore the ancient world of Criptoportico Forense.

If you are flying in from Israel, the closest major airports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. In August in Turin, expect temperatures between 28°C during the day and 20°C at night. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 2nd (Sun) so you can travel back home.
