City of Magic
A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.Visiting Parco Nazionale Gran Paradiso and Parco Naturale del Monte San Giorgio will get you outdoors. Get out of town with these interesting Turin side-trips: River Rafting & Tubing (in Morgex), Cervino Breuil-Cervinia Ski Area (in Breuil-Cervinia) and Lake Orta (in Orta San Giulio). The adventure continues: get engrossed in the history at Museo Egizio, don't miss a visit to Piazza Castello, examine the collection at Museo Nazionale dell'Automobile, and steep yourself in history at Duomo di Torino e Cappella della Sacra Sindone.
