City of Magic

A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
Discover out-of-the-way places like Castello di Grinzane Cavour and Ricetto di Candelo. Let the collections at Juventus Museum and Civic Museum of Ancient Art (Palazzo Madama) capture your imagination. Get out of town with these interesting Turin side-trips: Salumificio Maison Bertolin (in Arnad), Castello di Verres (in Verres) and Castello di Issogne (in Issogne). There's still lots to do: get engrossed in the history at Armeria Reale, take in the architecture and atmosphere at Santuario di Oropa, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Santuario Basilica di Montis Regalis, and explore the world behind art at Museo Egizio.

If you are flying in from United Kingdom, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. In March, daytime highs in Turin are 11°C, while nighttime lows are 5°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 6th (Tue) to allow time to travel back home.
