City of Magic

A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
Castello di Grinzane Cavour and Palazzina di Caccia di Stupinigi will appeal to history buffs. Get some cultural insight at Ricetto di Candelo and Museum of the Risorgimento. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Turin: Marchesi di Barolo - Sede legale, magazzini e spedizioni (in Barolo), Santuario di Oropa (in Oropa) and Castello di Racconigi (in Racconigi). There's still lots to do: take an in-depth tour of Armeria Reale, don't miss a visit to Via Roma, take in the spiritual surroundings of Santuario Basilica di Montis Regalis, and see the interesting displays at Juventus Museum.

To find where to stay, photos, and other tourist information, you can read our Turin online trip maker.

If you are flying in from United Kingdom, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. In March, plan for daily highs up to 11°C, and evening lows to 5°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 6th (Tue) to allow time to travel back home.
