City of Magic

A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
Castello di Grinzane Cavour and Castello di Verres will appeal to history buffs. Get some cultural insight at Ricetto di Candelo and MAO - Museo d'Arte Orientale. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Turin: Santuario di Oropa (in Oropa), Castello di Racconigi (in Racconigi) and Marchesi di Barolo - Sede legale, magazzini e spedizioni (in Barolo). There's still lots to do: take in the spiritual surroundings of Santuario Basilica di Montis Regalis, take an in-depth tour of Museo Pietro Micca e dell'assedio di Torino del 1706, admire the striking features of Palazzina di Caccia di Stupinigi, and see the interesting displays at Juventus Museum.

To find where to stay, photos, and other tourist information, you can read our Turin online trip maker.

If you are flying in from United Kingdom, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. In March, plan for daily highs up to 11°C, and evening lows to 5°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 6th (Tue) to allow time to travel back home.
