City of Magic

A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
Castello di Grinzane Cavour and Castello di Verres will appeal to history buffs. Get some cultural insight at Ricetto di Candelo and Museum of the Risorgimento. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Turin: Castello di Racconigi (in Racconigi), Marchesi di Barolo - Sede legale, magazzini e spedizioni (in Barolo) and Santuario di Oropa (in Oropa). There's much more to do: admire the masterpieces at MAO - Museo d'Arte Orientale, explore the historical opulence of Castello di Issogne, shop like a local with Via Roma, and take an in-depth tour of Museo Pietro Micca e dell'assedio di Torino del 1706.

If you are flying in from United Kingdom, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. In March, plan for daily highs up to 11°C, and evening lows to 5°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 6th (Tue) so you can travel back home.
