City of Magic

A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
Museum-lovers will appreciate Museo Egizio and Forte di Bard. Shop till you drop at Serravalle Designer Outlet and Mercato Centrale Torino. Venture out of the city with trips to Cervino Breuil-Cervinia Ski Area (in Breuil-Cervinia) and Lake Orta (in Orta San Giulio). Next up on the itinerary: see the interesting displays at Museo Nazionale dell'Automobile, make a trip to Piazza San Carlo, take in the spiritual surroundings of Duomo di Torino e Cappella della Sacra Sindone, and take some stellar pictures from Basilica of Superga.

If you are flying in from Spain, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. In January in Turin, expect temperatures between 6°C during the day and 1°C at night. Finish your sightseeing early on the 22nd (Mon) to allow enough time to travel back home.
