City of Magic

A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
Get a sense of the local culture at Museo Egizio and Museo Nazionale dell'Automobile. Museo Nazionale del Cinema and Forte di Bard will appeal to museum buffs. Venture out of the city with trips to Ferraris Agricola (in Castagnole Monferrato), Serravalle Designer Outlet (in Serravalle Scrivia) and Cervino Breuil-Cervinia Ski Area (in Breuil-Cervinia). And it doesn't end there: take some stellar pictures from Basilica of Superga, take in the spiritual surroundings of Duomo di Torino e Cappella della Sacra Sindone, don't miss a visit to Piazza San Carlo, and take in the architecture and atmosphere at Parrocchia San Giovanni.

To find where to stay, traveler tips, maps, and other tourist information, go to the Turin trip planner.

If you are flying in from Germany, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. In March, daytime highs in Turin are 11°C, while nighttime lows are 5°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 2nd (Mon) early enough to travel back home.
