City of Magic

A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
Take a break from the city and head to River Rafting & Tubing and Lake Orta. Your cultural itinerary includes sights like Museo Egizio and Civic Museum of Ancient Art (Palazzo Madama). Explore the numerous day-trip ideas around Turin: Piazza Motta (in Orta San Giulio), Reggia di Venaria Reale (in Venaria Reale) and Forte di Bard (in Bard). There's still lots to do: examine the collection at Museo Nazionale dell'Automobile, take in the spiritual surroundings of Duomo di Torino e Cappella della Sacra Sindone, get great views at Basilica of Superga, and catch a live event at Juventus Stadium.

For photos, ratings, where to stay, and more tourist information, you can read our Turin tour itinerary app.

If you are flying in from Canada, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. In September, daily temperatures in Turin can reach 24°C, while at night they dip to 17°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 10th (Tue) so you can travel back home.
