A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
Get a sense of the local culture at Castello di Issogne and Castello Reale di Sarre. Discover out-of-the-way places like Santuario Basilica di Montis Regalis and Castello di Verres. Get out of town with these interesting Turin side-trips: Reggia di Venaria Reale (in Venaria Reale), River Rafting & Tubing (in La Salle) and Museo Forte Bramafam (in Bardonecchia). There's still lots to do: explore the ancient world of Criptoportico Forense, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Basilica of Superga, get engrossed in the history at Museo del Carcere Le Nuove, and step into the grandiose world of Castello e Parco di Masino.

If you are flying in from United Kingdom, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. Expect a daytime high around °C in September, and nighttime lows around °C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 28th (Fri) early enough to travel back home.
