City of Magic

A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
Appreciate the collections at Museo del Carcere Le Nuove and Museo Nazionale dell'Automobile. Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Castello di Issogne and Santuario Basilica di Montis Regalis. Get out of town with these interesting Turin side-trips: Via Lattea (in Sauze d'Oulx), Castello della Manta (in Manta) and Pila (in Gressan). There's still lots to do: explore the historical opulence of Castello e Parco di Masino, pause for some serene contemplation at Basilica di Maria Ausiliatrice, make a trip to Piazza Castello, and examine the collection at Museo Nazionale del Cinema.

If you are flying in from United States, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. In April in Turin, expect temperatures between 59°F during the day and 47°F at night. Finish your sightseeing early on the 13th (Thu) to allow enough time to travel back home.
