Turin— 4 nights
City of Magic
A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.Reggia di Venaria Reale and Egyptian Museum of Turin are good opportunities to explore the local culture. Deepen your sense of the past at sights like Basilica of Superga and Sacra di San Michele. Venture out of the city with trips to Castello di Fenis (in Fenis), Serravalle Designer Outlet (in Serravalle Scrivia) and Verres Castle (in Verres). There's lots more to do: see the interesting displays at Museo Nazionale del Cinema, shop like a local with Mostra Steve Mc Curry, explore the historical opulence of Castello di Issogne, and take in the exciting artwork at Galleria Sabauda.
For where to stay, other places to visit, and tourist information, refer to the Turin road trip planner .
If you are flying in from United Kingdom, the closest major airports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. Expect a daytime high around 30°C in July, and nighttime lows around 21°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 8th (Mon) to allow enough time to travel back home.
