City of Magic

A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
Popular historic sites such as Castello e Parco di Masino and Castello di Serralunga d'Alba are in your itinerary. Get a sense of the local culture at Santuario Basilica di Montis Regalis and Sacro Monte. Explore Turin's surroundings by going to Castello Sarriod de La Tour (in St. Pierre), Aosta (Criptoportico Forense, Collegiata dei Santi Pietro e Orso, &more) and Castello Reale di Sarre (in Sarre). There's much more to do: step into the grandiose world of Castello della Manta, pause for some serene contemplation at Chiesa di Santa Maria del Monte dei Cappuccini, learn about winemaking at Marchesi di Barolo - Sede legale, magazzini e spedizioni, and contemplate the waterfront views at Colline di Torino.

To find other places to visit, photos, ratings, and more tourist information, read our Turin trip site.

If you are flying in from The Netherlands, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. In November, daytime highs in Turin are 11°C, while nighttime lows are 7°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 5th (Mon) early enough to travel back home.
