A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
Get out of town with these interesting Turin side-trips: Zoom Torino (in Cumiana), La Venaria Reale (in Venaria Reale) and Sacra di San Michele (in Sant'Ambrogio di Torino). There's lots more to do - contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Basilica di Superga, make a trip to Piazza San Carlo, examine the collection at Museo Nazionale del Cinema, and admire the striking features of Royal Palace (Palazzo Reale).

For maps, where to stay and tourist information, you can read our Turin travel guide.
