City of Magic

A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
Bring the kids along to Museo Egizio and Museo Nazionale del Cinema. Venture out of the city with trips to Sacra di San Michele (in Sant'Ambrogio di Torino), Zoom Torino (in Cumiana) and Parco Nazionale Gran Paradiso (in Aosta). There's much more to do: see where the action happens at Juventus Stadium, see the interesting displays at Museo Nazionale dell'Automobile, steep yourself in history at Duomo di Torino e Cappella della Sacra Sindone, and get great views at Basilica of Superga.

If you are flying in from Israel, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. In October, plan for daily highs up to 17°C, and evening lows to 12°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 7th (Sat) to allow time to travel back home.
