A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
Visit Reggia di Venaria Reale and Santuario della Consolata for their historical value. Museum-lovers will get to explore Museo Egizio and Museo Nazionale del Cinema. Get out of town with these interesting Turin side-trips: Serravalle Designer Outlet (in Serravalle Scrivia) and Sacra di San Michele (in Sant'Ambrogio di Torino). The adventure continues: see the interesting displays at Museo Nazionale dell'Automobile, don't miss a visit to Basilica of Superga, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Duomo di Torino e Cappella della Sacra Sindone, and take in nature's colorful creations at Parco del Valentino.
