City of Magic

A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Basilica di Maria Ausiliatrice and Chiesa di Santa Maria del Monte dei Cappuccini. Get out of town with these interesting Turin side-trips: Aosta (Parco Nazionale Gran Paradiso & Porta Pretoria), River Rafting & Tubing (in La Salle) and Castello Reale di Sarre (in Sarre). There's still lots to do: Head underground at Cave Bossea and take in the spiritual surroundings of Santuario Basilica di Montis Regalis.

If you are flying in from Canada, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. In June in Turin, expect temperatures between 26°C during the day and 18°C at night. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 29th (Thu) so you can travel back home.
