City of Magic

A city of technology and industry, Turin is in northwestern Italy, a one-hour drive from the French border and slightly more than that from the Mediterranean Sea.
Museum-lovers will get to explore Museo Egizio and Reggia di Venaria Reale. Museo Nazionale del Cinema and Duomo di Torino e Cappella della Sacra Sindone are good opportunities to explore the local culture. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Turin: Parco Nazionale Gran Paradiso (in Aosta), Ferraris Agricola (in Castagnole Monferrato) and Forte di Bard (in Bard). The adventure continues: see the interesting displays at Museo Nazionale dell'Automobile, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Basilica of Superga, do a tasting at Azienda Agricola But di Meistro Flavio, and admire the striking features of Palazzo Reale.

For ratings, where to stay, reviews, and other tourist information, you can read our Turin online tour itinerary planner.

If you are flying in from United Kingdom, the closest major aiports are Malpensa International Airport, Turin Airport and Genoa Cristoforo Colombo Airport. Expect a daytime high around 24°C in September, and nighttime lows around 17°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 3rd (Wed) early enough to travel back home.
